Allow me to share with you why I'm here! I live in Beautiful Manitoba, Canada and my late husband had worked his way to the "top" in the corporate world, or almost there! At least he was getting paid pretty good.
BUT.... he missed out on seeing our children grow up since our FAMILY TIME came in second after what his JOB required.
We had been saving for our retirement .... and then the dreaded DOWNSIZING hit.... I know all of you know people that's happened to! We had lost quite a chunk of our hard earned savings. Then Vic was diagnosed with an aggressive Cancer and he passed away in April, 2006. Because my business.... OUR business was built from home, I could be there with him full time.... not worrying about the income drop.
Now almost 6 yrs. later, I can truly say that that Life changes drastically when one suddenly finds themselves facing life alone, there are no longer 2 pensions coming in, income is cut in half, yet the bills are not. What we had put away for retirement now won’t go as far as more is taken out each month to live on when one is living alone. Thank goodness there is extra money coming in month after month because of starting my own business. I have seen many people whose lives have changed by losing a partner, and now are downsizing to tiny apts., scrimping and watching what they spend… as their income doesn’t afford otherwise. Whoever called these “Golden Years” needs to take a better look at how many people live today.
Thank goodness I don’t have to….and it’s a good feeling knowing you are helping others, not only with their health, the environment, but also ensuring their financial future is secure as well . Job security is not there and it’s a shame that one has to work so hard and miss out on watching their children grow up and have no time to enjoy the good things in life while they can. It’s also good to know I’ll be leaving something to my kids….a business…with a residual stream of income…..how cool is that!
I'm so thankful for the time Vic and I shared at home, thanks to Tim and Linda who introduced us to this great company. It's TIME to build OPTIONS into your future....as we had done and so glad we did.
